Willms Again Advocates for French Immersion

Doug Willms once again proposes a "no immersion" system because of the results of the Pan-Canadian Assessment Program (PCAP) test scores released yesterday.  Apparently a world without French instruction would put New Brunswick students at the head of the international class...

Wow...A half an hour a week for Gifted Kids...

Education Minister Lamrock announced a new program for the gifted kids of New Brunswick today (no new money, though) that will give them 1/2 hour of programming a week to be developed by the already overburdened learning resources of the school system.  This one is not only short on details but also on rhetoric...I think the spin doctors are getting desperate to get the minister to say something positive.

I don't think anybody, even those who support the elimination of EFI, would be very excited about this pathetic attempt to add something new to the debate...
